Why Fractional Project Management

Projects that are too important to handle casually, but not always large enough to justify hiring a full-time project manager.

Other projects are sensitive that need to stay at the ownership or executive level until the company is ready to communicate more broadly.

That can include ERP implementations, acquisitions, facility relocations, manufacturing build-outs, operational startups, process mapping, PMO setup.

Projects often get assigned to people who already have full-time jobs. They may be capable in operations, accounting, sales, production, engineering, or management, but that does not mean they have the time to manage the project every day.

It also does not mean they have led that type of project before. Projects can involve vendors, internal teams, deadlines, open decisions, risks, and details that need constant follow-up.

When no one is clearly assigned to manage the project, work can slow down. Decisions get delayed, vendors wait for answers, internal teams work from different assumptions, and leadership may not have a clear view of what is open, late, or at risk.
